Reservoir System
Designed specifically for the IKEA RUDSTA Wide, this system provides three 50mm deep reservoirs across the cabinet base, compared with the 20mm depth of the standard Phantom Foliage Humidity Base System.
The reservoirs can simply be filled with water, making them ideal for plants suited to standing-water or bog-style growing. LECA, lava rock, pumice or similar media can also be added if preferred.
For plants such as Nepenthes that aren't grown sitting in standing water, the larger exposed reservoir can instead provide a passive source of humidity within the cabinet.
Waterproof Finish
All three reservoirs are treated with a high-quality, plant-safe polymer sealant as standard, providing a waterproof finish for continuous standing water use.
The coating requires approximately 48 hours for application and curing before dispatch.
Design & Maintenance
The three reservoirs are individually removable, making them easier to empty, refill and clean.
As the reservoir trays are produced at the maximum size possible in a single piece, two slim finishing strips cover the small space behind the trays to maintain a clean, fitted appearance across the cabinet base.
